Coming round the mountain...
It has been a while since I posted, but I have been painting...when I can. The "studio" in the garage is cold in February and March, but I did get some work done while I was busy doing many other things. I have been busy submitting works to shows and other venues and recently learned that one was accepted at the "Gold Spike Sesquicentennial" of the Transcontinental Railroad. This is a specific show related to trains and will be on display in Truckee through the summer. It is one of my 'remains' paintings that is done over a canvas that is covered in other paint. The painting was originally a blue background canvas and I used that as the main body of the train, painting a bright background around it and then filling in minor details. I am very honored that the work was accepted. "Round the Bend," 22x28, oil on canvas, will be framed in a floating frame before I drop it off for the show.
